My journey in dentistry began within the corridors and clinics of the College of Dental Science and Hospital, Indore—a place that laid the foundation for who I am today, both as a clinician and a person. From late-night study sessions and first patient encounters to the thrill of my earliest surgeries, every experience at CDSH helped shape not just my skills, but my mindset. The friendships we built in clinics and operation theaters, the laughter after tough cases, and the unwavering teamwork made this journey unforgettable. I am currently serving as Professor and Head of the Department of Oral Surgery at Modern Dental College, Indore, and also practice clinically as the Director of St. Patrick’s Dental Clinic, Indore. I began my journey in dentistry at the College of Dental Science and Hospital, Indore, where I completed my BDS. After completing my MDS from Balaji Dental College, Chennai, I have spent over 17 years in academics, mentoring UG and PG students. I am a Professor, teaching undergraduates in the Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics at Gian Sagar Dental College and Hospital, Rajpura, Patiala, Punjab With a strong foundation in Endodontics, I’ve conducted several hands-on courses on Rotary Endodontics, Dental Loupes & Microscopy, and Endodontic Retreatment. My journey at the College of Dental Science and Hospital, Rau, has been nothing short of transformative. From earning College Rank 2 in my first year to securing University Rank 1 in Periodontics during my final professional exam, every milestone was a reflection of the support, guidance, and learning environment I was fortunate to be a part of. CDSH has been more than just an academic institution for me—it’s been a place of growth, mentorship, and lifelong friendships. During my internship, under the mentorship of my teachers, I had the opportunity to publish my first scientific literature in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, which marked the beginning of my journey into research. I was also honored to receive the Best Scientific Paper Presentation Award at Famdent Mumbai, 2023.The clinical training across departments specially Oral Surgery Department remains a highlight of my undergraduate years. Under the guidance of Dr. Rashmi Saikhedkar Ma’am and Dr. Amit Nirwan Sir, I was able to strengthen my surgical foundation and my research work which led to publications and meaningful collaborations with peers for which I am truly grateful. CDSH has been the foundation of my journey, shaping me both academically and professionally. My journey has begun as a Dental student at CDSH and it leads me to where I am today. My dental education at CDSH was distinctive. I had lots of didactic and hands-on experience in the clinics which still give me a lot of confidence. After my graduation, constant support from my peers and faculty played a huge role in my career path. I graduated in 2009 and worked as a faculty for one year at CDSH then moved to the USA and did my post-graduation in Master of Public Health in addition to Graduate Certificates in Epidemiology and Community Health Education. During my course of study, I worked for the Illinois Department of Public Health on the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) projects alongside CDC associates. The experience I gained in India at CDSH and from the support of the faculties I was able to get admission for my Masters in the USA and I was able to sculpt my career path. I am practicing Public Health and Jurisprudence in Dental settings as a Clinical Compliance Manager in one of the Corporate Dental Clinic and heading towards other bigger dental ventures to practice dentistry in North America. Dental education at CDSH is unmatched; Though I did not follow a typical clinical dentistry path however many of my batch mates open their practice after graduation and they are very successful today. I spend my time in CDSH as a student and as a faulty, I have seen both the sides and I can firmly say that joining CDSH is one of the best decision of my life.

Very few people are blessed to get a chance to built up a great foundation for budding future aspirants from such a great institution, where they themselves have grown up to achieve their own heights today.

I am really thankful to CDSH Indore for giving me opportunity to do BDS from the institute. it was and is still maintaining the high standards of education in dental field. I Dr. Esha Verma is a proud alumni of College of Dental Science and Hospital, Rau. I did my graduation from CDSH. When I was undergraduate student of this college Periodontics was always my subject of interest and so always dreamed of joining the department of Periodontics as faculty and be on the other side of the table as a teacher and impart my knowledge to the students.
